50th annual Waterloo 10 KM Classic

About the Event

Celebrate the spirit of running at the 50th Annual Race Weekend, featuring distances that cater to all ages and abilities. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, there's something for everyone this June 19-20.
On Saturday, June 19, kick off with a scenic 5k run in the evening at 6:00 p.m., offering participants a chance to enjoy the cooler temperatures and vibrant atmosphere. The following day on Sunday, June 20, gear up for an early morning start with two challenging courses: a 10k race beginning at 8:30 a.m., followed by a shorter but equally exciting 3k event.
For those looking to maximize their experience, the Little Dipper and Big Dipper options allow runners to participate in both events over the weekend. The Little Dipper combines the Saturday night 5k with Sunday's morning 3k, while the Big Dipper pairs the 5k and 10k races for a full marathon distance equivalent.
The event also includes a special kids' 200m dash on both days, providing young athletes an opportunity to showcase their talents in a fun-filled environment.
With past editions reaching capacity at 2,000 participants, organizers are actively exploring ways to accommodate more runners next year as the race continues its impressive legacy.
Both races have been certified by Athletics Canada and sanctioned by Athletics Ontario, ensuring high standards of competition while welcoming all levels of runners from across the region.
