5K VFW 6527 RUN/WALK FOR WARRIORS

About the Event

The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Harris-Hannah Post 6527 in Greenwood, Arkansas, will be hosting a chipped-timed 5K Run/Walk for Warriors on October 24, 2026. All monies raised will be used to help local veterans in-need.

* The 5K check-in between 8-8:45am at our VFW POST on the Square in Greenwood, AR, at 305 E Center St.

* OUR STARTING POINT IS AT THE COAL MINER's MEMORIAL, NEXT TO FIRST NATIONAL BANK.

* The route will take you STRAIGHT ACROSS Bell Road, pass behind the high school and back down Main Street, with a finish at Town Square. WE WILL HAVE CLEAR MARKERS ON THE ROAD, PERSONNEL AT EACH TURN, AND A NEW MAP POSTED BEFOREHAND for you.

* The race will be officially chipped and timed with Jaymax Race Timing Services, and volunteers will man various locations along the route.

* MEDALS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

* Top place medals in different age categories and t-shirts for the first 250 to register.

*THIS YEAR* Placement medals for FASTEST and CUTEST (DOG) COSTUME (1ST, 2ND, 3RD PLACE EACH CATEGORY)
