The 6th Annual BVS Aquathlon, scheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2026, promises to be an exhilarating day of competition and camaraderie at the heart of Banatsko Veliko Selo. Organized by ATP Triathlon Club and BVVS Swimming Sports Association, this event showcases a unique blend of aquatic prowess and endurance running. Located in the central area of Banatsko Veliko Selo, the race venues include an indoor pool for swimming segments and a scenic pedestrian path around Kozara Stadium for the running portions. The day's activities will commence at 12:30 PM with officials and teams arriving early to prepare for the event. Registration for all participants is from 13:15 to 13:45, followed by check-in procedures starting at 13:50 for younger pioneers. Spectators can expect a formal opening ceremony at 14:00, setting the tone for an exciting afternoon of races. The event kicks off with younger and older pioneer categories, featuring a short swim in the pool (50 meters) followed by a run around Kozara Stadium's perimeter track (500 meters). This is immediately followed by check-in procedures for junior competitors from 14:30 to 14:40. At approximately 14:40, younger cadets will gather at the poolside for their race briefing and line-up. These participants take on a swim of 200 meters in the pool before transitioning onto the track for a run covering 1000 meters. Older cadet competitors then follow suit with an enhanced challenge: swimming 400 meters, followed by a grueling 2000-meter run. The day's highlight is reserved for elite athletes who will compete from 16:50 onwards in the main race. This event features a rigorous swim of 20 laps around the pool (approximately 2000 meters) and an intense track run covering five kilometers, showcasing both swimming agility and running endurance. Throughout the day, participants can enjoy the supportive atmosphere as friends, family members, and fellow athletes cheer from the sidelines. The race organizers have ensured that all necessary facilities are available for competitors to perform at their best, including medical assistance and hydration stations along the route. The event concludes with a medal ceremony recognizing achievements across various age groups, followed by an announcement of the main race winners around 17:40 PM. This year's entry fees range from 1500 dinars for younger categories to 2500 dinars for elite competitors, reflecting the varying levels of challenge and skill required. Participants are encouraged to make their payment via bank transfer to Triathlon Club ATP’s account number 325950060001976522. The event promises a day filled with athletic excellence in a picturesque setting that celebrates both individual achievement and community spirit.
