6. Weserbergland Backyard Ultra

Backyard Ultra is an endurance race that challenges runners to complete endless loops of 6.7 kilometers each, with competitors having exactly one hour between the start and finish times for every loop. The course is designed so that over a period of 24 hours, participants can cover up to 100 miles if they maintain their pace continuously.
This unique event follows an elimination format, where runners drop out as the race progresses due to exhaustion or other factors. Ultimately, victory goes to whoever remains standing at the end—literally "the last person standing." The organizers welcome all individuals regardless of religion, gender, ethnicity, and encourage anyone aged 18 years or older to participate.
Registration for this event closes on October 1st, 2026, with no late entries accepted. Should there be more than 150 pre-registered participants, the registration process will close early. Participants are advised to bring their own lounge chairs as downtime is part of the strategy in such a long-distance race.
The event takes place rain or shine at the sports hall located on Feldstraße in Lütmarsen, Höxter (37671). No club membership is required for participation. It's important to note that organizers do not take responsibility for theft or damage during the race. By signing up, participants agree to their medical fitness and authorize TuS Ovenhausen 1924 e.V. to use any photos or film footage taken at the event.
