On October 24, 2026, the Naturalist Mountaineering Association of Sidirokastro (F.O.S.S.) invites runners and hikers alike to experience the beauty and challenge of their region with three distinct events: the Pallatideion Semi-Mountain Road Race over a distance of 6 kilometers, an extended Krousovitis trail covering 27 kilometers, and a special Junior race for children up to 12 years old, stretching just 1000 meters.
The 6km route offers runners a taste of the semi-mountainous terrain around Sidirokastro. Participants will traverse scenic trails that wind through lush forests and alongside rocky outcrops, providing stunning views at every turn. This race is designed to showcase both the natural beauty and the challenging topography of the area.
For those seeking a longer adventure, the 27km Krousovitis trail presents an immersive journey into the heart of Sidirokastro's rugged landscape. The route follows winding paths through dense woodland, crossing streams and climbing steep inclines that test even seasoned athletes' endurance and determination.
The Junior race is tailored to young participants, offering a fun-filled introduction to running in a supportive environment. Children will enjoy a short but engaging course designed specifically for their age group, encouraging them to explore the outdoors while fostering an early appreciation of physical activity.
