7. Eversburger Gewässer Ultramarathon

The Eversburger Ultra is an exhilarating ultramarathon that challenges runners with its unique route and serene surroundings. Set to start at the Park & Ride parking area near Rubbenbruchsee, Osnabrück, this 45-kilometer course offers participants a flat yet diverse terrain that winds through picturesque landscapes.
Participants will begin their journey early in the morning at 7:30 AM with a goal of completing within 7.5 hours plus some additional leeway provided by organizers. The race features an alternative option for those who prefer shorter distances, offering a 30-kilometer route which covers two laps around the main course.
The event is meticulously designed to cater to experienced runners looking for a challenging yet rewarding experience. Runners will encounter numerous water bodies throughout their journey, including the Rubbenbruchsee and various streams and canals that characterize this part of Osnabrück’s natural landscape. The route takes participants through quiet residential areas, alongside railway tracks, and along scenic paths by the Hase River.
Runners should be prepared to navigate several street crossings where they must adhere strictly to traffic rules as the course is not closed off from vehicular traffic. It's crucial for runners to use pedestrian crosswalks and follow all road signs carefully, ensuring safety at all times.
The race does not provide any official refreshment stations; therefore, participants are advised to bring their own supplies in a backpack or car trunk. Water refill points will be available near the parking lot after every lap as you pass through it twice during your run.
This event emphasizes respect for other trail users such as pedestrians and cyclists who share these paths. The route is not marked with signs or arrows, so runners are encouraged to download GPS tracks from Komoot (Eversburger-Ultra) or Garmin Connect Course ID 330923302 beforehand to ensure they stay on track.
Registration for the Eversburger Ultra opens until midnight the day before the event. The race is limited to only 45 participants, ensuring a personal and intimate running experience with ample space along the route. If the limit is reached, interested runners can be placed on a waiting list.
Upon completion of the course, finishers will receive an official time from Susanne Laig's hand timing service at the finish line. Results and certificates are available through race result services post-event.
