A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra

Immerse yourself in the heart of Louisiana’s dense swampland for an unforgettable 10-hour overnight ultra run. This unique race offers runners the chance to test their endurance and speed on a fast, flat course that winds through lush vegetation and challenging terrain.
The event takes place under the cover of night, with temperatures soaring due to high humidity. The route features a loop measuring just over three miles, making it ideal for pushing your pace while still being mindful of the natural obstacles—think gnarly roots and pesky mosquitoes eager to join in on the action. Each lap is well-marked with reflective tape, ensuring clear navigation even as darkness sets in.
Runners are required to carry a light source and hydration solution throughout their journey, adding an element of self-sufficiency to this endurance challenge. The course itself blends single-track trails, gravel roads, and open fields, offering a diverse mix that keeps the legs engaged and the mind alert.
A full aid station is available on each lap, staffed by enthusiastic volunteers ready to support your needs with plenty of supplies. This well-stocked hub provides water, snacks, and other essentials crucial for maintaining energy levels throughout the night.
Registration includes a race t-shirt (for those who sign up early) along with a reusable cup and additional goodies upon completion. Finishers who complete at least five laps will receive an award to commemorate their achievement. Top three male and female finishers also earn podium awards, recognizing exceptional performances in this grueling event.
Logistics are straightforward: packet pickup is from 6 pm to 8 pm on race day, with a pre-race meeting scheduled for 7:50 pm that all participants must attend. Parking coordinates will be provided upon registration.
