About the Event

Returning for its 26th year, the Alemannia Couples Race promises another thrilling and unique running experience on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. This beloved relay-style race challenges participants to work together as a team over a course of 30 minutes.
Each couple will take turns covering laps around a 400-meter track, handing off the baton to their partner at the end of each lap. The winning pair is determined by who completes the most meters in total distance. This dynamic format keeps runners engaged and offers plenty of excitement for spectators too.
The race celebrates partnership and teamwork while providing an excellent opportunity for couples to bond through shared physical activity. Participants can expect a lively atmosphere with enthusiastic cheering from supporters as they sprint past on each lap exchange.
Registration opens July 23, 2026, giving runners ample time to prepare for this special event hosted by TSV Alemannia Aachen e.V.'s Athletics Department.
