About the Event

ALOT's annual 6-Hour Run invites runners to explore the limits of their endurance on one of the last weekends of October. Scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, this event offers participants multiple options ranging from a full marathon and half marathon to shorter stints like the three-hour or even one-hour run.
The race takes place around Tueholm Lake in Albertslund South, Denmark, where runners will loop through a scenic course that measures precisely 2.221 kilometers each lap. The route is flat with minimal elevation changes, making it ideal for maintaining steady speeds over long distances. As the event has received IAU Bronze Label status, participants aiming to compete under this designation must adhere strictly to its rules.
Runners will pass through a festive finish area every 2.2 kilometers where they can enjoy live music and cheering crowds while refueling with snacks ranging from chocolate and fruit to energy gels and water provided by one of Denmark's top depots. The event organizers ensure that all runners have access to hydration stations throughout the course, and participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups for environmental sustainability.
For those who prefer team competition, relay teams consisting of up to six members can also participate in the 6-hour challenge. Race numbers will be distributed starting from one-and-a-half hours before race start until thirty minutes prior, allowing last-minute sign-ups if spots remain available.
Upon crossing the finish line or hearing the final horn signaling the end of their chosen duration, runners receive precise distance measurements and official results. All participants who complete their respective distances earn medals, a commemorative blanket featuring ALOT's emblematic logo, as well as a warm slice of cake and hot cocoa at the post-race celebration.
In addition to its competitive allure, the event is celebrated for its welcoming atmosphere and beautiful setting near Copenhagen, making it an annual highlight on many runners' calendars. With options catering to both seasoned ultrarunners and casual participants, ALOT's 6-Hour Run promises a memorable day of running in scenic surroundings.
For those traveling by car, take exit three off motorway E21 towards Vallensbæk Torvevej; continue straight onto Rendsagervej until you reach the race venue. Public transport options are also available via Line B to Albertslund Station, followed by a 30-minute walk south along Albertslundvej and then west on Rendsagervej.
