Alpe de Bispberg Trail Run 2026

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Dalarna's Bispbergs Klack, where two alpine peaks rise 315 meters above sea level offering stunning panoramic views. This unique trail run invites you to traverse through Solvarboravinen and Säterdalen’s mystical forests along a winding riverbank.
The course features an enchanting blend of terrain including steep inclines, gentle slopes, historic farmsteads (fäbodvallar), stairs, bridges, picnic spots, waterfalls, and more. En route, runners will encounter diverse wildlife such as deer, swans, ducks, hawks, and a rich array of flora unique to the region.
Choose between two distances: 21 km or 11 km. The longer course starts in Solvarbo at 9:30 AM, catering to both leisurely strollers and those looking for a more challenging run through varied terrain. The shorter route begins in Säterdalen at 10:45 AM, ideal for runners of all speeds who wish to enjoy the natural beauty.
For young adventurers aged up to 13 years old, there's also a special children’s trail event starting from Säterdalen at noon, featuring a scenic loop around 1 km in length. All participating kids will receive medals, water bottles filled with refreshments, and treats like juice and hot dogs on arrival.
Upon completion of the race, all participants are greeted by cheering crowds as they cross the finish line in Säterdalen. A well-deserved reward awaits at Dalstugan (Janssons café), where hamburgers and drinks await to replenish your energy after an exhilarating day out in nature.
Please note that participation is entirely at your own risk, though insurance coverage can be purchased for a 15% fee of the registration cost. Each runner must bring their own identification number visible on the front or back of their body during the race. Creative methods to display this are encouraged!
Basic amenities such as toilets will be available in Säterdalen but no showers post-race. Participants should wear appropriate footwear like trail shoes with cleats (not metal) or sturdy hiking boots, and carry a backpack with water and snacks.
Mobile phones must be carried at all times for safety reasons; they’ll need to be checked before the start of each event. The race organizers are committed to preserving the natural environment and ask that no litter is left behind in this sensitive wildlife area.
Registration closes on August 27th, Thursday. This year marks the seventh edition of Alpe de Bispberg Trail Run—a purely volunteer-driven initiative aimed at providing an extraordinary experience beyond the ordinary.
