July 17, 2027 marks the return of the St Neots Triathlon, renowned for its perfect blend of competitive racing spirit and supportive camaraderie. Nestled along the picturesque River Ouse, this triathlon offers athletes a unique experience that combines natural beauty with challenging courses. The event features both Sprint (750m swim, 24km bike, 5km run) and Standard distance (1500m swim, 45km bike, 10km run) races. Participants can also choose to compete in the Aquabike category or join a relay team for an equally engaging experience. The race begins with a refreshing dip in the River Ouse, followed by a scenic bike ride through charming villages dotted along the route. The course then leads runners back into St Neots, where they complete their journey on a riverside run through Riverside Park before crossing the finish line to cheers from spectators and fellow competitors alike. Campers can enjoy an overnight stay at the event site on Friday night for a convenient start to race day. With easy access to town amenities just steps away, it’s ideal for athletes looking to make a weekend out of their racing experience. All participants will receive exclusive medals upon completion, along with complimentary finish-line snacks and goodies. The entire course is supported by dedicated marshals who ensure the safety and smooth operation of each stage. For those interested in additional gear, Zone3 wetsuits are available for hire on-site or through long-term rental options. Athletes can also contribute to Alzheimer's Research UK by participating in fundraising efforts throughout their training and race day activities. The event organizers at ATW pride themselves on fostering a strong community among participants. Whether you’re seeking advice from fellow racers, sharing your achievements online, or simply enjoying the supportive atmosphere of the triathlon, there are numerous ways to connect with like-minded individuals before and after the race. With its welcoming environment and picturesque setting, the St Neots Triathlon is perfect for both seasoned athletes looking to achieve personal bests and newcomers eager to experience their first open-water triathlon in a friendly and encouraging venue.
