Grafham Water Trail Races

Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of Cambridgeshire with the Grafham Water Trail Races, featuring 10K and Half Marathon distances that wind through stunning trails and tracks. Starting at Marlow Park by Grafham Water, these races offer a perfect blend of challenging terrain and breathtaking views.
The 10K route is ideal for newcomers to trail running or those looking for an engaging introduction to the sport. Participants will enjoy looping around the reservoir’s perimeter before returning to Marlow Park. For runners seeking a more substantial challenge, the Half Marathon offers expansive vistas along its larger loop that circles Grafham Water and ventures into surrounding countryside.
Both routes are meticulously marked with clear arrow signs, ensuring easy navigation through varied terrain including sections of the Three Shires Way bridleway. The race environment is enhanced by professional first aid support at both start/finish lines and throughout the course via volunteer marshals stationed strategically to provide hydration stops along each route.
Registration opens early on event day, allowing ample time for participants to collect their bibs and timing chips before setting off from Marlow Park. Dogs are not permitted due to the race traversing farmland paths, but family and friends can cheer runners on at designated spots around Grafham Water where parking is more accessible than in nearby villages.
Participants should come prepared with appropriate gear such as trail shoes or footwear with good traction, along with optional items like waterproof jackets and base layers depending on weather forecasts. Each finisher will receive a commemorative medal while the top three male and female competitors in each race take home additional prizes.
For those interested in capturing their momentous achievement, free digital photographs of all participants are available shortly after crossing the finish line via Race Harborough’s social media channels. Additionally, every entrant has an opportunity to contribute towards supporting local charities including the Jubilee Foodbank and Weston Favell Centre Foodbank.
