The half marathon route takes you through the leafy outskirts of Welwyn before venturing onto the serene Cole Green Way, an old railway line now transformed into a peaceful traffic-free path. This quiet stretch provides runners with a tranquil setting and scenic views as they loop back towards the track for their final lap.
For those opting to run 10k, you’ll start alongside the half marathoners but branch off after the first 5km onto your own route before returning to Gosling Sports Park for an exhilarating finish. The multi-terrain course ensures a challenging yet rewarding experience.
The event kicks off at 9:30am with marshals and signage available until 12:30pm, ensuring runners have ample support throughout their race.
Children aren’t left out either! Fifteen minutes before the main races begin, kids can participate in a free 400m fun run on the track. Parents are welcome to join or use it as a warm-up for themselves.
