Avesta Night Sky Run (3,3km/10km) och Avesta Backyard

Welcome to Avesta and the Dalaportens Olympic Evening Races at the Dalahäst Ski Center on October 3, 2026. The Avesta Night Sky Run offers runners two scenic trail options: a shorter 3.33 km route or an extended 10 km course. Both routes wind through the snow groomed trails of Rullstensåsen, encircling the slalom track in this picturesque Swedish town.
As you lace up your shoes and take to the dimly lit paths under the starlit sky, prepare for a challenging yet invigorating experience. Each lap on both courses features an elevation gain of approximately 47 meters, providing runners with dynamic terrain that tests their endurance and stamina. The trails are well-lit, ensuring safety as you navigate through curves and climbs.
For families joining in this year's event, there’s also a special children's race for kids aged between 0 to 12 years old. This fun-filled activity promises an exciting introduction to the world of running while offering young participants the chance to experience the thrill of racing under the night sky.
In addition, all runners under 18 can enjoy reduced entry fees by using the discount code "Under 18" when registering for either distance in the main event. This year’s Avesta Night Sky Run is not just a race but an opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of Avesta after dark.
