AZ Veterans Day Run

The 2026 AZ Veterans Day Run is set to take place on November 14th at Kiwanis Park within the bustling downtown area of Tempe, Arizona. Known for its harmonious blend of urban amenities and natural beauty, this park serves as a perfect backdrop for runners. As participants gather among the trees that line the running paths early in the morning, they are greeted by the golden light of sunrise casting a warm glow over hopeful faces.
The race offers four distinct distances: 1 Mile Run/Walk, 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run/Walk, and Virtual Run. All races begin at 8:00 AM with registration fees ranging from $33.46 for the shorter runs to $38.81 for those choosing the longer distances.
This will be the 14th edition of this cherished event in the Phoenix area, having grown significantly since its inception and now attracting participants not just locally but also from across Arizona and beyond. The race supports Team Red, White & Blue, a charity dedicated to enhancing veterans' lives through community engagement and wellness programs.
Kiwanis Park provides an array of distances tailored for runners at all levels—whether you're a seasoned competitor or a casual walker looking to support the cause. The course features scenic trails that wind through lush greenery, offering picturesque views throughout your run. The terrain is firm yet slightly soft, ensuring comfort and ease for both competitive athletes and those taking it easy.
On race morning, expect mild conditions with an average temperature of 18°C (64°F) and a humidity level of 39.8%. A light breeze at about 6.5 km/h will keep the air moving but should not deter runners from their pace. Precipitation is minimal, with only 1.2 mm expected on race day.

Race bibs will be available for pickup at Kiwanis Park from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, November 13th. Bring a form of identification and any other required items as per event guidelines.
The run commences at 475 S Main St, Tempe AZ 85281. Individuals under the age of 13 are not eligible to participate; those between 13 and 18 must have parental permission for race day participation and presence during material pickup on Friday evening.
