YourOMaps Northern Orienteering Urban League for 2026 invites orienteers to explore the vibrant landscapes of Scotland's northern regions during the summer months. Organized by BASOC, INVOC, and MOR, this series comprises six exciting events designed to challenge both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike. Event 4 takes place in Newtonmore, a picturesque town nestled amidst rolling hills and dense forests. This event offers two distinct courses: a longer course stretching between 5-6.5 kilometers for those seeking an extended adventure, and a shorter option ranging from 2-3.5 kilometers ideal for beginners or as part of family outings. Competitors aged sixteen and older can participate in either distance independently. However, juniors under the age of sixteen must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless otherwise specified in final event details. All participants are reminded to proceed at their own risk while ensuring their safety throughout the race. For those committed to completing all six events, discounts will apply towards your entry fee for the sixth and concluding competition. The series awards points based on individual times relative to the winner's time across each of the four best races out of the six events scheduled.
