Welcome to the Glencoe Marathon Gathering 2026, featuring the full 26.2 mile Glencoe Marathon, and the Glencoe Half Marathon .
The 2026 full off-road marathon is an epic trail run that starts in Fort William, in the foothills of Ben Nevis and then ascends a total of 589 metres through the stunning mountain scenery of the Mamores before heading down into Kinlochleven at sea level.
The Half Marathon route starts in Kinlochleven and both routes then head up over 750m before descending 250m down the fearsome Devil’s Staircase into the pass of Glencoe. As you descend from the eastern edge of the Aonach Eagach Ridge you look straight onto the mighty Buachaille Etive Mor (the great herdsman). The route then snakes up through Glencoe surrounded by towering mountain ridges before the finishing in at the Glencoe Ski Area.
