Stouffville Main Street 5K

Join us for the 5th annual Stouffville Main Street 5K and Kids 1K Dash on Sunday, June 20, 2027. This beloved community event benefits the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation and welcomes both competitive runners and recreational walkers.
The day kicks off at 7:30 am with the opening of Runners Village where participants can collect their race packets and gear up for a morning filled with fun and fitness. At 8:00 am, there will be some brief welcoming remarks before the event officially gets underway.
Starting times are staggered into waves to ensure an organized start for all runners based on anticipated completion time:
- Red Wave (less than 25 minutes)
- Yellow Wave (25:01 - 30:00 minutes)
- Blue Wave (30:01 - 35:00 minutes)
- Green Wave (35:01 - 45:00 minutes)
- Purple Wave (45:01+ minutes)
All runners with strollers should line up at the back of their designated wave. Walkers are encouraged to join in the purple wave for a more relaxed pace.
The race route winds through Stouffville's charming Main Street, offering scenic views and an energetic atmosphere as participants run past local businesses and historic landmarks. Post-race festivities will include refreshments, music, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate your achievement with fellow runners and supporters.
Fundraising is highly encouraged but not mandatory for this event. Participants are invited to raise funds in support of the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, with suggested goals of $100 per adult and $50 per child. Any donations over $20 will qualify participants for a charitable tax receipt from the foundation.
Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome at Runners Village but must be left behind during the race itself to ensure safety on course. No bicycles, rollerblades or scooters are allowed along the route.
