Circuit Running invites you to the University of York for its debut 6-hour endurance challenge. This inclusive event welcomes runners and walkers alike, offering flexibility and support throughout the day. Registration begins at 9:10 AM with the race starting promptly at 9:40 AM. The course is a scenic loop around the university grounds, measuring 2.2 miles in total length for each lap. Participants will experience a gentle incline mid-way through the out-and-back section of the route before returning to the start/finish line. The terrain includes mostly tarmac paths with a short grassy stretch at both ends of every circuit. For those aiming for shorter distances, there's also an option for a mini-lap covering 5k and 10k routes. A full half marathon is achieved after six laps, while twelve complete circuits will take you to the distance of a marathon. Beyond that, runners can push further into ultra-marathon territory. Aid stations are strategically placed at the end of each lap, providing hydration options such as water, squash, and fizzy drinks along with an array of snacks like sweets and biscuits. Participants have until 5:59 PM to complete their final lap before the event concludes. Facilities include accessible toilets located at York Sport Centre nearby. Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a specially designed medal as well as a goody bag filled with five items celebrating your achievement.
