Bear Valley Triathlon

Immerse yourself in the stunning Sierra backdrop with the Fast and Fun Triathlon, an exhilarating race that combines breathtaking scenery with competitive challenges. Nestled among picturesque landscapes, this triathlon offers participants a unique blend of natural beauty and athletic prowess.
The swim segment features a 600-yard plunge into refreshing waters where temperatures hover around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Wet suits are optional but can be utilized for additional buoyancy or warmth. The bike course is designed with three rolling loops that include gentle climbs, providing an opportunity to test endurance while enjoying the serene countryside views.
Transitioning from cycling to running, athletes will face a single loop of approximately 3.4 miles on undulating roads. Water stations are strategically placed along this route for hydration needs during the run portion. The combination of varied terrain and scenic vistas ensures that each mile offers something new and exciting.
Entry fees include an array of perks such as custom race t-shirts, post-race meals with a selection of beverages including beer (for those over 21), and access to a raffle where prizes can only be claimed if the winner is present. Awards are given out for overall male and female winners along with masters categories, plus medals for top three finishers in various age groups ranging from 18 & under through to 70+ years old.
Registration costs $95 for individuals and $240 for relay teams until race day when prices increase by $5. Race packets are available on the morning of the event starting at 8:30am, allowing participants ample time before their respective start times.
