BeckBusters 10km 2026

BeckBusters, now in its ninth year, is a chip-timed multi-terrain race that promises both speed and scenic beauty. Spanning approximately 10 kilometers, this flat course begins and ends at Bishop Monkton Primary School, offering runners an ideal setting for achieving personal bests or venturing into the distance for the first time.
The route weaves through diverse landscapes, starting on a quiet country road before veering off to follow the River Ure and Ripon Canal. Along the way, participants will pass through Littlethorpe, a charming village known for its picturesque setting, before returning cross-country back to Bishop Monkton Primary School.
Upon crossing the finish line, runners are greeted with energy bars and fruit, as well as the option to purchase a commemorative medal when registering by August 15, 2026. The race awards prizes in several categories: first male and female overall winners; top three in age groups; leading school parent for both genders; and local residents who claim victory.
Supporters of participants can enjoy refreshments such as freshly cooked bacon sandwiches and homemade cakes at the primary school before or after the event, creating a welcoming atmosphere that extends beyond the race itself. All proceeds from BeckBusters benefit Bishop Monkton Primary School's efforts to enhance facilities and procure essential equipment through their charitable endeavors (Registered Charity 1050824).
Entrants must be over 15 years old on the day of the event to participate in this exciting run that combines athletic challenge with community spirit.
