Bedale, a charming market town nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire, plays host to an annual race that promises both scenic beauty and challenging terrain. For those familiar with previous editions, this year's event offers a chance for personal bests as you tackle Burrill Bank once more amidst cheering crowds. First-time participants can look forward to experiencing the course’s unique blend of natural landscapes and friendly community spirit.
The race takes place on fully closed roads, ensuring safety throughout its entirety. A dedicated team of marshals will be stationed along the route to provide guidance and encouragement at every turn. Participants will also benefit from chip timing, guaranteeing accurate results that are officially measured by England Athletics.
In addition to a competitive atmosphere, the event supports an important cause: proceeds go directly towards Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA), which has been the chosen charity partner for two consecutive years now. Every race entry contributes to this vital service in your local community.
Race day amenities include free t-shirts and finisher medals, available exclusively to those who register by April 23rd, 2027. The entrance fee covers chip timing, water stations throughout the course, and a post-race celebration where runners can enjoy their accomplishment with fellow competitors.
To ensure smooth participation, race numbers will be distributed on Saturday, June 10th from 2pm to 5pm or Sunday morning between 8am and 9:30am.
