About the Event

Experience Beyond The Dirt, set for August 15th, 2026, at the heart of Pennsylvania's PA Wilds. This year marks our third edition, and we're thrilled to invite you into Elk State Forest and Cameron County like never before. With a variety of routes tailored to different interests, there’s no shortage of adventure.
Embark on a journey through picturesque landscapes, where multiple vistas await your discovery. Whether you prefer the challenge of climbing or simply enjoy scenic gravel roads with breathtaking views, this event offers something for every cyclist. Ride through two stunning state parks, each offering its unique charm and beauty.
For those who thrive in competition, timing is available to clock your ride against the clock. However, our primary focus remains on gathering a community of cyclists united by their passion for biking. Join us not just for a day but for an entire weekend filled with camping, live music, delectable food, and most importantly, the camaraderie that comes from sharing this experience.
Current routes can be explored at www.beyondthedirt.com. While our courses are meticulously marked, we recommend downloading GPS routes as backup. The event features four distinct distances: 75 miles, 56 miles, 29 miles, and a family-friendly 14-mile route on the West Creek Recreational Trail.
Bring your friends and family to celebrate this vibrant community of cyclists who share their love for riding together. This event is open to everyone, making it an inclusive experience that welcomes participants from all backgrounds.

About Emporium

Learn more about the host city, Emporium.

Emporium is a borough and the county seat of Cameron County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Early in the twentieth century, there were large power plants and manufacturers of radio tubes and incandescent lamps, paving brick, flour, iron, lumber, and sole leather. In 1900, 2,463 people lived in Emporium, and in 1910, the population was 2,916. By 2010, the population had dropped to 2,073, and at the 2020 census, the population was 1,961.
