Boccia for the Kids

Boccia for the Kids is an inclusive and high-energy tournament designed to bring people of all abilities together through adapted boccia, a precision ball sport from the Paralympics. This event not only fosters teamwork but also supports the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation in Chatham-Kent, which provides life-changing therapy and services to help kids reach their full potential.
Whether you're new to the game or an experienced player, Boccia for the Kids offers a welcoming environment where everyone can participate and enjoy themselves. Registration includes guaranteed entry into round-robin play, swag for each participant, lunch, refreshments, access to prizes and raffles, and a kid-friendly activity area for spectators.
Teams of two are encouraged, with no restrictions on age or ability level. The tournament features paralympic boccia rules officiated by trained referees who also serve as enthusiastic cheerleaders. Multiple courts ensure fast-paced matches and plenty of excitement throughout the day.
Participants can opt to raise additional funds; teams that collect $1,000 will be entered into a draw for a grand prize. The event culminates with single-elimination playoffs where the champions are awarded the prestigious For the Kids Cup (FTK Cup) along with engraved names. Additional prizes include awards for top fundraising team and best team name or costume.
Free lunch is provided by local vendors, complemented by raffle tables featuring themed prize baskets to keep participants entertained between matches. With its engaging atmosphere and meaningful cause, Boccia for the Kids promises a day filled with fun and community spirit.
