Bowers Heritage Day 5k

The annual Heritage Run 5K returns to the charming town of Bowers on October 11, 2026. This beloved community event supports the local Bowers Beach Maritime Museum and offers runners and walkers an idyllic journey through historic Bowers Park.
Starting at picturesque Bowers Town Square, participants will traverse expansive green spaces lined with towering trees. The route promises mild autumn weather, with temperatures expected to hover around 15 degrees Celsius on race day—ideal conditions for a comfortable run or walk without the risk of heavy rain or extreme heat.
Navigating the course will be both firm and slightly soft underfoot, shaded by mature trees that provide a pleasant surface. Scenic overlooks along the route offer stunning views of Bowers Beach, enhancing the overall experience. The race day is anticipated to see temperatures ranging from 11 degrees Celsius at minimum to a maximum of 20.6 degrees Celsius with humidity levels around 68% and wind speeds averaging 12.6 km/h—conditions well-suited for both seasoned runners and casual walkers.
Registration can be completed online through https://raceroster.com/events/2026/116258/bowers-heritage-day-5k, with early bird pricing of $28.38 per person until September 30th. On race day, participants should pick up their bibs between 7 AM and 8:45 AM at Bowers Town Square.
Participants must be ten years old or older to run or walk without an adult guardian; bring identification for age verification. The start time is set for 9:00 AM sharp, with the same time slot reserved for both runners and competitive walkers.
