Located just west of Denver in Jefferson County, this trail race begins at dawn and continues throughout the morning. The start area is situated near Table Mountain Meetings and Events along Table Mountain Parkway. On the day of the event, participants will gather early to make their way up North Table Trail or nearby routes depending on distance chosen. Runners can expect a mix of terrain including rocky paths and grassy trails with some steep climbs.
The Break of Dawn race is in its second year, aiming to bring awareness to BeyondHome’s mission of helping families transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency through various support services and housing programs. Last year saw over 200 participants take part in the event, contributing significantly to local efforts aimed at reducing homelessness within the region.
The course for this race features diverse landscapes across North Table Mountain and surrounding areas. For those opting for the full 10-mile route, they will traverse the renowned North Table Loop along with an additional 2.6 miles of trails weaving through scenic vistas. The shorter 5-mile option follows a more compact path that includes Lithic Trail and Fairmount Canal Loop among other notable features.
