Buffalo Brains in Motion - Brain Aneurysm Awareness Run & Walk

Join us this September 19th for the debut of Buffalo Brains in Motion, an inspiring run and walk dedicated to raising awareness about brain aneurysms. This special initiative kicks off from the Atlas Surgery Center located at 50 George Karl Blvd in Williamsville, New York.
Participants can register online up until race day or opt for on-site registration between 8:00 am and 9:00 am at the start location. Those who sign up before September 4th are assured of receiving a custom-designed race shirt in their preferred size; however, these will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis after that date.
The event features two categories: a competitive 5K run and a leisurely 1-mile fun walk for all ages. Both events offer the chance to contribute to an important cause while enjoying a scenic route through Williamsville. The entry fees are $40 in advance or $45 on race day, with no time constraints for the walking event.
For those looking to engage more deeply as a team, there's also a unique challenge where participants can form teams of at least five members and compete based on their average finishing times. Special prizes will be awarded not only to the fastest but also to the largest participating group.
After crossing the finish line, everyone is invited to stay for a post-race celebration complete with refreshments and guest speakers from Atlas Surgery Center who will provide insights into brain aneurysm awareness and research initiatives. The day includes educational tours of the facility, interactive information tables, and opportunities to learn more about this critical health issue.
Awards ceremonies highlight the event as well, recognizing top male and female finishers in both overall standings and age groups for the 5K run. Customized certificates showcasing individual race statistics and rankings can be downloaded from the RESULTS button on the official page after the event.
