Canada Day Road Race

Celebrate Canada Day with the North Bay Canada Day Road Race, an annual run and walk event that takes place along the scenic shores of Lake Nipissing. This beloved community tradition invites runners and walkers to enjoy a 5k or 10k route on July 1, 2027.
Registration for this festive race opens early at 8:00am on August 15, 2026, giving participants ample time to prepare for the event. The race starts and finishes at Shabogesic Beach on Memorial Drive in North Bay, Ontario, offering stunning views of Lake Nipissing throughout the course.
Participants can choose between a challenging 10k that begins promptly at 8:00am or a slightly shorter but equally enjoyable 5k starting just ten minutes later. Both distances offer a mix of flat and rolling terrain along picturesque waterfront paths. The race finish line is met with cheers from spectators, friends, and family gathered to support the runners.
Awards will be given out for top male and female overall winners in both races as well as age group categories. All participants who cross the finish line receive a commemorative medal. Bib pick-up takes place on race morning at 6:30am, allowing early birds to arrive and get ready before the start of the event.
