CBTE Esk Valley Epic

Experience an unforgettable ultra running adventure along the picturesque Esk Valley Walk, starting and finishing in Glaisdale. This 36-mile circular route is designed for both seasoned ultrarunners and those taking their first steps into longer distances.
The challenging terrain features a total elevation gain of 4,487 feet, making it an ideal event for runners who enjoy varied landscapes rather than flat stretches. Five strategically placed checkpoints along the way offer vital support as you navigate through this scenic yet demanding course.
Upon crossing the finish line at 22:00 cut-off time, participants will receive a well-deserved finisher's medal and be greeted with refreshments including water and snacks. The event is run by enthusiastic race directors who are known for their infectious energy and support throughout the day.
Trophies are awarded to top male and female runners as well as non-binary athletes in several age categories, ensuring that every participant has a chance to shine regardless of gender or age group.
Registration opens at 06:00, with the race starting promptly at 08:00. Runners have the option to purchase XCover insurance, providing peace of mind should unforeseen circumstances prevent them from participating.
