Experience the untamed beauty of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom at this year’s CircumBurke revival, set to captivate both seasoned trail enthusiasts and casual adventurers. This 18-mile trail circuit weaves through a mosaic of singletrack and remote logging trails, offering participants an immersive journey into nature’s embrace. The event kicks off on Saturday, October 17th, at 9:30 AM from Victory Hill Trail Club's entrance located at 2872 or 3000 Victory Hill Rd in the quaint town of Victory. Early bird registration is available until Thursday, October 15th, at 8 PM through Bikereg. Supporting this event are a host of local and regional partners including the State of Vermont - Forest Parks and Recreation, Island Industries, Kate's Real Food, JetBoil, Typsy Pickle, Athletic Brewing, and Vermont Smoke & Cure. These sponsors contribute to making the race not only an athletic challenge but also a celebration of community. As you traverse through this rugged terrain, prepare for refreshments at one aid station where Tacos Del Reino will serve up post-race meals (not included in entry fees). For those who wish to support trail maintenance efforts, Victory Hill Trail Club offers merchandise sales featuring official shirts, hats, hoodies, and beer glasses. The race promises thrilling encounters with top 3 XCM racers receiving custom beer glasses as part of the cool prizes. Additionally, Strava segments will identify the fastest descenders among both male and female participants. Don’t miss out on free camping opportunities for the night before and after the event—perfect for those looking to extend their adventure into a full weekend outdoors. Hand-timed chip-free results by dedicated volunteers ensure accurate timing of your efforts; unofficial times are posted later online. Spectators can easily find watching positions as riders pass multiple times near the start/finish area, creating numerous opportunities to cheer on participants or simply enjoy the scenic surroundings. Equipment recommendations emphasize full suspension XC and trail bikes for optimal performance. Hardtails and gravel/cx bikes may struggle with some sections of the course. E-bikes are not permitted except for athletes with disabilities who are welcome to participate using an e-bike, ensuring a fair competition environment. Leashed dogs are allowed at the event but should be kept off trails or racecourse areas to maintain the integrity of this natural setting. Victory Hill Trail Club appreciates your cooperation in preserving these beautiful lands. For more details and last year’s results, visit https://www.webscorer.com/racealldetails?raceid=412256.
