Community Strong Race Weekend returns this year as its fifth annual fundraising extravaganza designed to bolster support and awareness of physical and mental health challenges within Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District. This dynamic weekend, scheduled for June 18th through June 20th, 2026, promises a range of engaging races alongside numerous family-friendly activities. The event kicks off on Friday, June 18th with Race Packet Pick-Up at The Tap Room located at 50 Pim Street in Sault Ste. Marie from 5 PM to 7 PM. Participants will have the opportunity to collect their race materials and gear up for an exciting weekend ahead. On Saturday, June 19th, the festivities continue with a series of races designed to cater to all ages and skill levels. The day starts early at 8 AM with a thrilling 10km run followed closely by a Kids Fun Run at 9:30 AM, encouraging young athletes to experience the joy of running in a supportive environment. To add an element of fun and vibrancy, participants can look forward to the Colour Run beginning at 10 AM, where runners will dash through trails adorned with bursts of color. The main event unfolds on Sunday, June 20th as race day reaches its peak. Early risers are in for a treat when they join the Marathon starting line-up at 6 AM, followed by those seeking a more moderate challenge taking off just half an hour later for the Half-Marathon.
