Community Traverse Cleveland Hills 32km

About the Event

Nestled within the dramatic landscapes of North Yorkshire, the Cleveland Hills 30KM trail race is an exhilarating journey along the Wainwright Coast to Coast path. This point-to-point challenge starts at Ingleby Arncliffe and concludes at The Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge, offering runners a diverse array of terrain that includes rolling ridgelines, exposed moorland, and lush ancient woodland.
With a generous six-hour cut-off time, the race is designed for both seasoned trail runners and strong hikers who are ready to take on this scenic route. Participants will traverse through varied landscapes marked by exciting trails and historic landmarks. However, while much of the path is waymarked, it's important not to rely solely on these markers for navigation.
The event includes one checkpoint at Lordstones (12.7KM), where runners can rest briefly before continuing their journey towards Blakey Ridge. This mid-point provides essential support, ensuring that participants stay within the required pace and safety guidelines set by organizers.
Community Traverse, known for its commitment to accessibility and inclusivity in endurance events, ensures high-quality race provision with thorough preparation and genuine care for every participant's experience. The organization offers XCover, a service allowing runners to secure refunds if unforeseen circumstances prevent them from attending.
This challenging 30KM trail event requires adequate training and preparation due to the demanding terrain and potential weather conditions. Runners are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the route using provided GPX files and final race information before the day of the event, ensuring they can fully enjoy this unforgettable journey through the North York Moors.
The Cleveland Hills 30KM is not just a race; it’s an adventure into some of England's most stunning natural landscapes. Runners will be immersed in breathtaking scenery as they navigate through historic trails and rugged terrain, making for a truly memorable experience.
