CopenHill Climb returns this summer for its third year on August 22nd, promising an exhilarating blend of athleticism and celebration right at the heart of Copenhagen. This dynamic day will see runners and cyclists alike take to Copenhill's challenging terrain in a series of events designed to test endurance and spirit. The festivities kick off with rider and runner arrivals between 16:00 and 17:00, giving participants time to collect their numbers and familiarize themselves with the course. At 17:30 and 18:00, two heats of the Craft Hill Smash will commence, featuring a grueling 3km route that ascends and descends three times over an elevation gain of 80 meters each loop. This is followed by a track walk at 18:40 to prepare competitors for the main event. The centerpiece of CopenHill Climb is the Individual Time Trial, known as the MAAP Copenhill Climb, which starts promptly at 19:00 with participants taking off every minute. The climb itself features a steep gradient of 35% over its 250-meter length, culminating in an additional challenge of ascending stairs for 50 meters—a true test of grit and determination. After the individual time trial concludes around 20:00, the top performers from each heat will compete in the Craft Hill Smash Final. The event wraps up with a podium ceremony to honor the winners who have earned prizes from MAAP, POC, Fuel+Omnium, and Craft. The day's excitement doesn't end there; at 20:30, participants and spectators are invited to join the Ravioli Rooftop Party. This lively gathering offers free entry until midnight with DJ performances by Kring, Jannik Christ, and more. The party continues into the early hours of Sunday morning, providing a perfect setting for post-race celebration. For those looking to fuel up during the day or night, pasta dishes will be available from 18:00 onwards at CopenHill's rooftop bar. With live music playing throughout the event and happy hour discounts offered between 18:00 and 20:00, there are plenty of opportunities for relaxation amidst the action. Participants should come prepared with appropriate attire as evenings in August can be cool, so a jacket is advisable. Additionally, bring your bike lock if you plan to park at CopenHill's dedicated bicycle area. The event organizers will send out essential details via email leading up to the race date, including start times and any last-minute updates. Join us for an unforgettable day of competition, camaraderie, and celebration as we make memories on this iconic urban climb in Copenhagen. Don't miss your chance to be a part of CopenHill Climb 2023!
