Get ready for the vibrant and festive atmosphere of the Poulets de Janzé Run on December 5, 2026! Organized by the Athletisme Club of Janzé in collaboration with the renowned Poulets de Janzé company, this event promises an unforgettable day filled with sportsmanship, camaraderie, and joy. Whether you're a seasoned runner or someone looking to try something new, there's an option for everyone.
The event kicks off at 5:00 PM with the Junior Races (2.5 km) designed specifically for young athletes in the Benjamins and Minimes categories. This is a fantastic opportunity for kids to take their first steps towards becoming champions.
At 5:30 PM, participants of all ages can join the Discovery Course (5 km), an accessible event that welcomes runners from Cadets born in or before 2011 onwards. With an entry fee of just €10, this race is ideal for those looking to challenge themselves and enjoy a timed run.
The main attraction begins at 6:30 PM with the Popular Run (10 km), open to participants aged Cadet and above born in or before 2009. This event offers an entry fee of €15, providing runners with a grand opportunity to experience the heart of Janzé's bustling streets.
In addition to individual races, there’s also the Enterprise Challenge. Teams from various companies can compete by combining two participants on both the 5 km and 10 km courses. The winning team will take home an impressive trophy along with local prizes and gift baskets for their top performers in each race category.
Participants are encouraged to pick up their race packets at Janzé's Halles between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM on the day of the event, ensuring they bring a valid form of identification. A warm and hearty refreshment area will be available for all runners upon completion of each course.
Safety is paramount with the entire route secured by both municipal police officers and dedicated volunteer signalers. Race timing is handled electronically through chips embedded in race bibs to ensure accurate results.
To register, participants can use a secure payment system via Klikego. Remember that valid FFA licenses or recent Parcours de Prévention Santé (PPS) certificates are required for participation. These health assessments can be completed online at pps.athle.fr and remain valid for three months.
