Immerse yourself in the picturesque beauty of rural charm as you lace up your running shoes for the Pear Fair on Sunday, July 26th. This year marks our grand 52nd edition, celebrating the rich tradition and bounty of Bartlett pear harvest with a scenic run through verdant landscapes.
Choose between two exhilarating courses: a 5-mile loop that winds gracefully along country roads or an invigorating 10-mile route for those seeking more mileage. Both routes promise breathtaking views of lush orchards and rolling hills, making this race not just about the finish line but also the stunning scenery you'll encounter.
The event kicks off early with registration starting at 7:30 AM, followed by a spirited Kids' Fun Run at 7:45 AM for those aged five to twelve. The main races begin promptly at 8:00 AM and offer runners an intimate connection with nature as they navigate the undulating terrain that characterizes this part of the countryside.
Post-race festivities include a hearty Pancake Breakfast, designed not only to refuel your body but also to support local scholarship funds. This community-driven event is more than just a race; it's a celebration of tradition and camaraderie among runners and residents alike.

Courtland is an unincorporated community in Sacramento County, California, United States. Courtland is located along the Sacramento River 17 miles (27 km) south-southwest of Sacramento. Courtland has a post office with ZIP code 95615, which was established in 1872. Courtland was named after Courtland Sims, son of James V. Sims, a landowner who opened a steamer landing in the community in 1870. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has defined that community as a census-designated place (CDP).
