Cowichan Autumn Classic - Run Now Wine Later

Experience the vibrant fall colors of Duncan, British Columbia at the Cowichan Autumn Classic - Run Now Wine Later. This cherished annual race takes place on October 18th and welcomes runners with two distinct distances: the 5K and the 10K.
The 10K event kicks off at 9:30 AM, with only a thousand spots left for CA$55.76 each. The 5K race follows half an hour later at 10:00 AM, inviting forty-nine participants to enjoy the rolling hills and lush greenery of Glenora’s picturesque trails. Registration fees are set at CA$45.03 per runner.
Race day begins with crisp morning air as you gather near Duncan's main street, close to the Trans Canada Trail. The vineyards surrounding Zanatta Estate Winery offer breathtaking views, creating a perfect backdrop for your run through autumn’s vibrant foliage. The course is known for its blend of firm and slightly soft trails that provide an enjoyable experience.
This event has been a community tradition for over ten years, making it more than just about the race—it's also a fantastic way to kick off Halloween with friends and family. On the day of the event, expect temperatures around 10°C (50°F) with humidity levels at approximately 86%. The wind is expected to remain gentle at about five miles per hour.
