Crown Stub 100

Welcome to the Crown 100 Ultramarathon, nestled within the picturesque Stub Stewart State Park in Oregon. This challenging race aims to become one of the premier ultramarathons in the Pacific Northwest, offering runners an unforgettable journey through diverse terrain and stunning scenery.
The course spans a grueling 7,000 feet of elevation gain across approximately 100 miles. Runners will traverse a combination of asphalt trails on the Banks Vernonia State Trail (BVT), hard-packed gravel paths along the Crown Zellerbach Trail, and some dirt trails within Stub Stewart Park itself.
The race begins with an out-and-back journey northward from Stub Stewart Park via BVT. As you approach the City of Vernonia, runners will circle around picturesque Vernonia Lake before linking up with the Crown Z Trail for a 20-mile stretch heading eastwards towards Scappoose, known as "Gravelly Plain" in Native American language and ancestral lands to The Chinook tribe.
After reaching this point, you'll turn back westward on both trails until you reach Stubby Aid Station at mile 72. From here, the route continues south for another ten miles before turning around again near Banks. Runners will then retrace their steps northwards towards Stub Stewart Park once more, passing through the Hill Top Day Use area and completing a final lap of approximately six-and-a-half miles along the Stub Stewart Trail Challenge course.
Upon finishing this last segment, you'll cross the finish line as a proud 100-mile runner. Your accomplishment will be marked by receiving an exclusive Crown 100 buckle to commemorate your achievement.
In addition to individual runners, we are excited to introduce The Royal Ultra Relay in 2026, allowing teams of two participants (each with one support member) to share the challenge through designated exchange points along the route. This event will feature three divisions: Princes, Princesses, and Prince & Princess Divisions, complete with awards for most creative team gimmicks.
