On September 6, 2026, the RSV Querfeldein Schneckenlohe e.V. invites mountain bikers of all ages to participate in their annual cross-country race series. Organized by Wolfgang Müller and supported by BRK medical services, this event promises a challenging yet rewarding experience for competitors across various age groups. Registration closes on September 2nd at midnight, with entry fees ranging from €8 for the youngest racers (U7-U9) to €10 for those in U11-U15 categories and €12 for participants aged U17 and above. The race day begins early as competitors of all ages take to the trails starting around 9:30 AM. The event features a diverse range of races, from short sprints to longer endurance challenges: - Youth Races: Starting with the youngest racers in the morning, categories include U9 (2 rounds), U11 (4 rounds), and U13 (3 medium-length rounds). Older youth classes such as U15 will follow around 11:15 AM. - Team Relay Race: A unique team event for U11/15 riders where each three-person relay includes at least one female rider. This race begins around noon, offering a collaborative challenge to the young athletes. - Senior and Elite Races: As the day progresses, more experienced racers take center stage with the 45-minute endurance race starting around 2:30 PM for U17-U19 men and women, as well as elite male and female riders. The event concludes in the evening with an hour-long e-bike category race beginning at approximately 3:30 PM. The racing venues showcase a variety of terrains including forest paths, gravel roads, and single-track trails that cater to different skill levels while offering breathtaking scenery throughout Schneckenlohe's picturesque landscape. Racers will encounter three distinct loop lengths ranging from short courses covering about one kilometer to longer routes spanning nearly four kilometers. Participants are required to wear helmets and gloves at all times during training sessions leading up to the event as well as on race day, ensuring safety remains a top priority throughout this exhilarating competition. Duschen and changing facilities will be available for racers after their efforts on the trails. Throughout the day, spectators can enjoy food and refreshments provided by RSV Schneckenlohe's catering team at VFR-Sportplatz in Schneckenlohe. The event concludes with a ceremony to honor winners across all age categories, celebrating achievements from young beginners through seasoned veterans alike.
