Just half an hour from Chattanooga, the CYCLE SEQUATCHIE CENTURY & 3 MTN CHALLENGE offers cyclists an escape into Sequatchie Valley’s breathtaking landscapes. This valley is a paradise for those seeking rolling farm roads and challenging climbs amidst low-traffic environments. The event features four base routes ranging from 15 to 80 miles, each providing unique experiences through the valley's diverse terrain. For the more adventurous riders, three optional climbs are available, adding up to an epic 102-mile journey with a staggering 8,000 feet of elevation gain. For those who enjoy mixed-surface riding, additional routes cater to varied preferences and skill levels. On Saturday morning at 9:15, kids can participate in a free 2-mile ride on the Dunlap's Coops Creek Greenway, ensuring the whole family is welcome. Post-ride festivities include a delicious farm-to-table lunch with locally sourced ingredients, homemade desserts, apple cider, and local craft beer. On Friday afternoon, October 2nd, get ready for the Speed Trap sprint contest amidst lively music and food stalls. Friday evening and Saturday afternoon/evening are dedicated to Oktoberfest celebrations in Dunlap, complete with live music, plenty of local brews, and traditional brats. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming throughout the event. Registration categories serve as a guideline; feel free to choose any distance that suits your preferences without restrictions.
