Dartmoor Prison Break

On May 22, 2027, escape from HMP Dartmoor and set out on an adventurous journey through the wilds of Devon. As dawn breaks into midday, participants will break free en masse to cover as much ground as possible within their allotted time—6 hours for "Absconders," 12 hours for "Delinquents," or a full day challenge for "Felons." Each runner is equipped with a GPS tracker, allowing friends and family back home to follow your progress.
The landscape offers diverse routes along public rights of way, leading through rolling hills, dense forests, and picturesque villages. While the goal isn't necessarily to outsmart the wardens who patrol unpredictably, it adds an element of excitement and challenge. Your mission: traverse as much territory as you can before time runs out or a warden catches up.
Past escapades have seen runners reach destinations like Plymouth, Bodmin in Cornwall, and even Bristol—some making it all the way to their local pubs! Whether running solo or handcuffed with friends, this event is about personal achievement. Embrace the thrill of adventure and enjoy stunning scenery as you navigate through one of Britain's most captivating regions.
All participants will receive a medal upon completion, regardless of distance covered. With mandatory kit checks in place beforehand, ensure you're fully prepared for whatever terrain lies ahead.
