Dartmoor Volcano Race

The 10.5-mile Dartmoor Volcano Race, set for September 11, 2027, marks the eleventh anniversary of this challenging trail race through southern Dartmoor's rugged terrain. The route includes Ryder’s Hill, reaching an altitude of 515 meters, offering stunning views of the iconic Red Lake Volcano.
This premier fell race is fully marked and marshaled by experienced trail runners, ensuring safety throughout the course. All finishers will receive a bespoke VOLCANO Race medal to commemorate their achievement. Event T-shirts can be purchased through SiEntries for collection on raceday.
The Dartmoor National Park Authority and landowners grant permission for this race, which adheres to UKA rules and is licensed by the Trail Running Association. The minimum age requirement is 17 years old, with no dogs allowed due to insurance constraints. For more details, including a mandatory kit list, visit their website.
