Dead of Night 12 Miler

Immerse yourself in the mysterious allure of midnight running with Dead of Night 12 Miler, an exclusive race that unfolds at the stroke of midnight on January 23, 2027. This unique challenge invites runners to conquer a scenic 12-mile course under the starlit sky and illuminated by headlamps.
The event takes place in Shoal Creek Park, located off Highway 119 in Montevallo, Alabama. The park offers varied terrain with trails that wind through grassy meadows, gravel paths, and soft dirt tracks. With minimal elevation changes, this course is designed to provide a smooth yet engaging experience for runners of all levels.
Race day begins at midnight sharp when the starting gun signals the start of your journey around two 6-mile loops within Shoal Creek Park. The park's well-lit pavilion near the main parking lot will serve as the race check-in area, where participants can collect their bib numbers and custom Dead of Night t-shirts between 10:30 PM and 11:30 PM on January 22nd.
A pre-race briefing is scheduled for 11:45 PM to ensure all runners are prepared for the unique challenges that lie ahead. The aid station, located at the start/finish line, will provide essential supplies such as water, electrolyte drinks, and light snacks, which you'll encounter twice during your run.
Participants can expect top-notch swag including a custom finisher's medal upon completion of their 12-mile trek. Additionally, the event honors the dedication of its runners with awards for the top three male and female competitors.
