About the Event

The 26th Annual Canadian Death Race invites runners into one of North America's most challenging ultramarathons. Spanning an impressive 118 kilometers, this trail runs from and back to a towering plateau at 4,200 feet above sea level. Participants will traverse three majestic mountain summits while navigating through dramatic elevation changes that total over 17,000 vertical feet.
A highlight of the course is the formidable Hell's Gate canyon, where racers must cross a major river at its narrowest point. This scenic route weaves through the awe-inspiring Canadian Rockies, offering breathtaking views and an unparalleled natural setting for endurance athletes.
Each year, this race attracts extreme athletes who are dedicated to pushing their physical limits against the backdrop of nature’s raw beauty. The race challenges participants not only with harsh weather conditions—ranging from scorching heat to biting cold—and high altitudes but also personal struggles that test mental fortitude and resolve.
