On September 26, 2026, the eighth edition of La Pestif returns to Raon-l'Étape for an intense and challenging trail running experience. The event offers three distinct formats designed to test your endurance on a rugged course with significant elevation gain.
The classic "La Pestif" features twelve laps around a scenic 6.2-kilometer loop that climbs 260 meters in altitude, making it ideal for both solo runners and relay teams of up to three participants. Each lap is filled with twists and turns through varied terrain, providing an exhilarating challenge.
For those seeking more of a test, the "La Pestif' Hard" extends the distance and elevation with fifteen laps over 6.9 kilometers and a total ascent of 320 meters per loop. This format pushes runners to their limits as they tackle steep climbs in quick succession.
The innovative "La Pestif'mix" combines elements from both formats, offering six loops on each course type but leaving the order up to chance with a random draw at the start. Participants must complete one hour of running for every lap or risk elimination, adding an element of unpredictability and excitement to the race day experience.
The event takes place in Raon-l'Étape where runners gather at Carrefour des Pestiférés before setting off on their challenging journey through this picturesque region known for its rugged trails and stunning landscapes.
