About the Event

Run for Heroes, now in its 25th year, is an inspiring and competitive run that honors the memory of Delaware County's fallen heroes. The course weaves through picturesque Scenic Hills and Colonial Park, offering runners breathtaking views and a challenging yet rewarding experience.
Participants will start and finish at the Springfield Library (70 Powell Rd) due to construction on the new Township Building. This scenic route not only showcases the beauty of the area but also provides an engaging challenge for both competitive athletes and recreational runners alike.
The first 250 participants who check in on race day receive a commemorative T-shirt, celebrating their contribution to this meaningful event. Runners are invited to join a community that comes together to support the Delaware County Hero Scholarship Fund, which aids children of Police Officers, Firefighters, and EMS Respondents who have lost their lives serving our community.
This annual run combines athletic competition with heartfelt tribute, creating an atmosphere where every step taken is in honor of those who gave so much.
