This event is renowned as one of the most visually appealing triathlons in the region. ### Event Details The race takes place at Derwent Reservoir Dam South, Edmundbyers, Consett (DH8 9TT). With no cut-off times and relay options available, participants can choose a pace that suits them best. #### Distances Offered - Sprint Triathlon - Swim: 750m - Cycle: 22km - Run: 5km - Standard Triathlon - Swim: 1,500m - Cycle: 39km - Run: 10km - Sprint Duathlon - Run: 5km - Cycle: 22km - Run: 2.5km - Standard Duathlon - Run: 10km - Cycle: 39km - Run: 5km - Sprint Aquabike - Swim: 750m - Cycle: 22km - Standard Aquabike - Swim: 1,500m - Cycle: 39km ### Venue and Transition Area Derwent Reservoir offers a secure transition area for athletes. Participants are required to match their race numbers with racking numbers provided on the day. Helmets must be worn before entering the cycling portion of any event. Parking is available at Derwent Waterside Park, but participants should note there's an additional 10-15 minute walk from the car park to the transition area and start line. A £3 charge per vehicle applies for parking on race day. ### Race Day Experience The event features live chip timing by Timing Up North and a finish line where all athletes will receive: - Derwent Triathlon Medal - Wild Deer merchandise - Snack & drink Optional commemorative T-shirts can be purchased during registration at £14.00 each, offering an additional memento of your participation.
