The Devilbend Trail Run 2026 returns to Moorooduc in Victoria, Australia on Sunday August 16th, marking its 50th running since the inaugural event in 1976. Originally a road race of 30km, it evolved into a half marathon and finally transformed into today's trail run, celebrating the natural beauty and unique terrain of Devilbend Natural Features Reserve. On race morning, expect to find yourself navigating through the serene surroundings of this reserve on the Mornington Peninsula. The early August weather is typically mild—temperatures range from 7.8°C to a maximum of 14.5°C with an average of 8 hours and 1 minute of sunshine. You'll feel the humidity at around 78.3%, but the trail conditions will be firm, occasionally soft due to moisture, making for a challenging yet enjoyable run. This year's event is steeped in tradition and community spirit, hosting five distinct distances: a half marathon, two trail runs (12km and 7km), a shorter 4km option, and a Kids Mile. The trail conditions will provide an array of terrains—grass, gravel, stones, mud, even clay—to keep you engaged throughout the course.
