Devon Coast to Coast Ultra & Marathon

Devon Coast to Coast Ultra Marathon: 17th April 2027 – 8AM
Embark on an epic journey across the heart of Devon, covering 112 miles from Wembury to Lynmouth. This non-stop ultra marathon spans two national parks and traverses the entire county in a grueling yet breathtaking challenge that can take up to 38 hours.
Devon 75km: South Devon & Dartmoor – 17th April 2027 – 8AM
Experience the beauty of South Devon and Dartmoor by participating in this 75km section from Wembury through to Chagford. This route offers a full crossing of Dartmoor, with participants expected to complete it within 14 hours.
Devon 100km: Mid Devon & Exmoor – 18th April 2027 – 9PM
For those who relish the challenge of longer distances, join us for this final leg from Chagford on Dartmoor all the way to Lynmouth. This 100km route across mid-Devon and into Exmoor is a test of endurance that can take up to 25 hours.
Exmoor in a Day (Marathon): 18th April 2027 – 9AM
Conclude your Devon adventure with an invigorating marathon through the heart of Exmoor, from West Anstey to Lynmouth. This full-day event is open to both runners and walkers, completing its course in approximately 12 hours.
Each entry includes mandatory tracker hire for optimal safety during these long-distance events.
The Two Moors Way
Your journey begins at Wembury in the picturesque South Hams region before following a scenic route along the Erme-Plym Trail. This trail leads you to Ivybridge, where you'll join the 100-mile Two Moors Way—a historic path that winds through Dartmoor and Exmoor until it reaches Lynmouth on the coast. The course even ventures into Somerset briefly before returning to Devon.
Participants will be supported with fully-stocked checkpoints offering hot drinks and meals at crucial points along the way, ensuring you're well-nourished throughout your journey. Support teams are permitted to meet runners at strategic locations during this non-stop event for additional assistance.
The Route
Though much of the route is marked, it's important to exercise caution when crossing fields or navigating open moorland sections, especially under nighttime conditions. Detailed maps and GPX files will be provided via Outdoor Active app and other GPS devices for enhanced navigation support.
Transport Options
For your convenience, we offer transport services from Lynmouth to Wembury (Devon Coast to Coast Ultra), Chagford to Wembury (75km leg), Lynmouth to Chagford (100km leg), and Lynmouth to West Anstey (Exmoor Marathon) for each distance option. Please note that there is no return transport provided after the event.
Participants have the opportunity to purchase XCover insurance, which allows them a refund in case of unforeseen circumstances preventing their participation.
