Dia De Los Muertos Festival 5K & 1K sponsored by AEP Texas

Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Cole Park Pier as you lace up your running shoes for The Dia De Los Muertos Festival 5K & 1K, presented by K Space Contemporary-V Fit Productions-AXIS Tattoo and sponsored by AEP Texas. This annual event invites runners and walkers to celebrate life and remember loved ones who have passed away through a scenic run along the bayfront.
On Friday, October 23, 2026, participants can choose between two distances: a spirited 1K race starting at 6:30 PM or an invigorating 5K beginning shortly after at 6:45 PM. Both races offer runners and walkers alike the opportunity to traverse through charming coastal scenery while enjoying live music performances that set the festive tone for this unique occasion.
Race day packet pickup is available on Thursday, October 22nd from 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM at Fleet Feet (located at 1412 Airline), or you can collect your race materials directly at Cole Park Pier starting from 5:30 PM the night before.
In addition to the races themselves, there will be a variety of vendors and age group awards presented during the event. Don't miss out on getting one of this year's commemorative t-shirts by registering early—shirts are guaranteed only if you sign up by October 8th, 2026.
