Event Overview The half marathon takes place on October 10th, 2026, starting at Lone Peak Park in Sandy UT. The event offers a mix of wood-chipped paths and single-track trails, making it an ideal race for both beginners venturing into trail running and experienced runners aiming to conquer the challenging terrain. Course Highlights The journey begins with a descent from Lone Peak Park into Dimple Dell Canyon where you'll encounter picturesque fall foliage. You’ll run over bridges that offer stunning views of the canyon floor below, followed by an exhilarating climb through winding trails under colorful autumn leaves and along scenic mountain vistas. Key points on your route include: - A drop in elevation at the start to a wood-chipped trail. - Scenic bridge crossings leading into the heart of Dimple Dell Canyon. - An ascent up to the Rim Trail, providing panoramic views before reaching Granite Park Aid Station for rest and refueling. - The final stretch back down through beautiful canyon trails. Aid Stations Well-stocked aid stations are strategically placed along the course. Tailwind energy drinks, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fresh fruit, and a variety of treats from local Costco stores will be available to keep you fueled throughout your run. Each station also offers restrooms for convenience. Race Day Experience Registration fees start at $60 (early bird) with options up to $80 late registration. Packet pickup is available both on Friday afternoon or race day morning, ensuring a stress-free and smooth start time. A high-quality race shirt and custom finisher's medal await every participant upon completion. Post-Race Celebration After crossing the finish line, runners can enjoy a hearty breakfast from Great Harvest Bread featuring cinnamon rolls, muffins, pumpkin chocolate chip bread, along with other nutritious options like bananas and orange juice. Awards will be given to top overall male and female winners as well as age division champions in various categories.
